- There have been several newspaper accounts of Bigfoot sightings in Iowa throughout the decades and by all accounts, they have been lost to time. Bigfoot Display at Shopping Center

A simulation of the legendary “Bigfoot” will be displayed at the Newton Shopping Center all day Saturday, as part of the center’s ten-day grand reopening celebration.
Bigfoot Research Inc. of Iowa commissioned a master recreator of wildlife to build this display incorporating the most reliable information gathered from years of field work. The model’s features represent a young adult male of the Pacific Northwest, between 18 and 25 years of age, just approaching his prime. At 7’6” he has not yet reached full height, according to Bigfoot Research spokesmen.
Bigfoot is the most common American name for the giant bipedal hominoid that has reportedly been seen all over the world on every continent except Antarctica. All the sightings describe huge hairy “ape-like” creatures who have some human characteristics mixed in with animal traits.
It is the belief of Bigfoot Research Inc. after years of study that this is not only a factual representation of Bigfoot but also the finest piece of work on this creature available in the Free World.
The Newton Shopping Center grand reopening begins Thursday and continues through Saturday, June 11.
